Overview
A filter press pumps liquid through a stack of plates dressed with filter media. Solids are retained on the media while clear filtrate passes through. The stack is clamped during filtration and opened for cleaning.
In beverage plants it follows sugar dissolving, removing impurities before the syrup is stored and blended.
